The dish antenna system is an integrated assembly consisting of:
- LNBF - A low noise block downconverter with integrated feedhorn designed to receive circularly polarized signals.
- LNBF SUPPORT ARM - Support arm is offset to prevent blockage of dish surface and prevent attenuation of the incoming signal.
- Y-BRACKET - End of LNBF arm fitted with a Y-shaped bracket of two parallel D-tubes. This allows for mounting of current production LNBFs and dual feed LNBF/switch designs.
The I-Bracket (single straight tube) is used for a single location DISH 500 and not to appear as equipment is missing from the second Y tube.
- DISH - KU-band (12.2 - 12.7 GHz) antenna of reflective material to reflect and concentrate the desired signal to the feedhorn of the LNBF. Size is determined by requirement for each received signal. DISH 300 - 51cm slightly oval shape, DISH 500 - 22.75"h x 21"w , DISH 1000 - 18"h x 23"w.
- MOUNTING BRACKETS AND MAST ASSEMBLY - Required hardware to support and maintain azimuth and elevation of the dish/LNBF assembly. Mounting bracket and mast geometry must allow mounting to horizontal and vertical surfaces as well as 1.66" (1 5/8") diameter pole for a DISH 300, DISH 500 or DISH 1000 and 2" for Type I, 2 3/8" for Type II SuperDish mounting.
Chimney mounting may be accomplished with additional brackets and hardware.
