Description
The DISH DMA and DishHD channels normally reside high in the EPG; i.e. 8000 and 9000 channel numbers. For convenience, these channels can be mapped down to an easier to find location. The local channels can be mapped down to the same channel number range as their off-air channel. In some HD receivers, the HD channels can be mapped down in the EPG to line up with the SD channel.
Examples:
- In Denver, KDVR is on local channel 31. DISH Network subscribers who live in the Denver DMA will also be able to tune to Channel 31 to receive KDVR.
- ESPN HD will display as 140 ESPHD with the HD logo, and standard ESPN will display as 140 ESPN without a logo. When both SD and HD channels are available, entering a channel number on the remote control automatically selects the HD channel.
